• Increased bandwidth - Capable of supporting data transfer rates of up to 10Gbps over 100m at a maximum bandwidth of 500Mhz (CAT6 can only support 30-50m or 1Gbps at 100m at max. 250Mhz)
• Backwards compatible with both CAT6 and CAT5e – however it’s important to note that speed will be affected
• Reduced crosstalk
• Beyond the standard uses it also provides enhanced PoE (Power over Ethernet) capabilities that make it ideal for smart home functions such as smart security cameras in locations where standard power outlets aren’t available.
• For best results must be used with certified UTP CAT6A cabling.
